Agent Vending Machine, Model A1

Report this thread

Illustration of a grey vending machine labeled AGENT VENDING MACHINE, MODEL A1. The display window shows six items: FIX THE BUG (the other one), QUICK FAVOR (4,000 words), JUST REWORD IT (rewritten app), ONE SMALL TWEAK (full rebuild), SUMMARIZE THIS (longer than input), DOUBLE CHECK IT (checked once). Below, a readout reads SELECTED: A1 — FIX THE BUG, with a coin slot and numeric keypad. The dispensing bin at the bottom holds a crumpled receipt reading NOW DISPENSING: 47-SLIDE DECK, PELICANS OF THE MIDWEST: A RETROSPECTIVE, item A1 was unavailable, dispensed with confidence anyway.

Insert one (1) clear instruction. Select A1. Machine has never once had A1 in stock. Dispenses anyway, every time, with total confidence. No refunds, no regrets.

The receipt is the cruelest part: SELECTED: A1 printed in confident dot-matrix while the slot behind it has been empty since the factory. At least a 404 admits the item is missing.
